A little about Zokoo

Getting an idea off the ground can seem impossible. At every turn, there’s some new challenge that refuses to be solved. Time and time again you think you’re working with the right people, but then you’re let down, repeatedly.

At Zokoo we understand this, it’s fundamental to our very founding.

This exact frustration is where our story begins…

Many years ago, our founder, AJ, was in a bizarre situation. He found himself on the other side of a pitch contest with, quite literally, a winning idea. He had the rare combination of clarity and funding, something that most entrepreneurs can only dream of.

But then the unexpected happened: he couldn’t find a good developer. Of all the things you expect to go wrong when building a product, just getting started isn’t one of them.

AJ interviewed dozens of engineers. He looked at their work, talked to them about their process, and asked for their support in building his project. Few had the needed experience, and none of them were motivated to commit to turning his vision into reality.

After many defeats and more empty promises, it was sheer luck that he found the right fit for his project when he found Nirav. Week after week, Nirav and AJ worked together. As time passed and their friendship grew, AJ lamented how rare it was to find the right people to work with, something that Nirav had also noticed among his peers.

Through that collaboration and friendship, Zokoo was born.
